Exi 450 Helicopter

Upgrade from stock to extra Carbon Fiber Parts!!

Exi 450 carbon edition ARF, I have built the helicopter and had minimal issues. Everything works great, it took a while to program the transmitter but thats all part of the fun. Understand how the heli works while you program with a computer and CT6 software. The control linkages that connect to the swashplate needed thread tape, I also grinded part of the "anti rotation" linkage so the threads go in farther because it was stripped out and didn't have enought thread into the aluminum swashplate to be safe.

Exi 450 out of the box, I have all of the parts together, all parts are from xheli or hobby partz.

I have servo's installed, gyro mounted, now just need to rout the wires and zip tie them.

The 9 gram D2113F metal gear servo is too small for the tail servo mount. I modified it with a piece of plastic from an old rc car transmitter battery cover. I cut it to size, drilled 1/16" holes and screwed it in place, then mounted servo to the new plastic piece's.

The computer 6ch radio is programmed by USB to computer and software. It took me a while to program the CT6 to the Exi450. I have added deans connectors to the esc and battery. Everything connects and works great.

I have carbon fiber main blades, tail blades, 2200mah lipo, 30 amp esc, micro camera and exi 9g metal gear servo on the way! I will post flight video when it arrives!  SEE ME CRASH THIS HELI HERE!

Here's some pictures of my Upgrade of the EXI 450 Carbon Edition, I have installed extra carbon fiber accessories to the tail of the helicopter. I am very pleased with the new parts, low prices and fast shipping. I have soldered the new 2200mah 11.1v lipo Deans Connectors and works perfect. I made a JST to Deans adapter so I can connect my battery to my celectra lipo charger.

The Blades are not any lighter than the stock fiberglass blades, but look allot nicer. It matches the canopy and other carbon fiber body parts. The new Carbon Fiber Tail Blades look allot better than the stock plastic, are lighter and are slightly larger. This will add to the performance by giving extra lift to the tail.

I have added the deans connectors, the deans adapter for my lipo charger, added the 30 amp speed controller, and finished programming the radio to the heli. BE SURE TO USE A THREADLOCKER FOR THE 3 MICRO SCREWS THAT CONNECT YOUR SERVO TO THE SWASHPLATE!
